Comfort Wear Expert - Essential Hoodie Designer

We’re seeking a skilled and innovative Comfort Wear Expert to join our design team as an Essential Hoodie Designer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of comfort wear, exceptional design skills, and a passion for creating high-quality, Essential hoodies. This role will focus on designing and developing hoodies that prioritize comfort, functionality, and style.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development (50%):

Create original designs for Essential Hoodie Collections, considering factors like fabric, fit, and functionality.
Develop technical packages, specs, and CADs for production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained.

Comfort Wear Expertise (20%):

Stay up-to-date on comfort wear trends, technologies, and materials.
Conduct research on consumer comfort preferences and pain points.
Apply expertise to inform design decisions and improve overall comfort.

Prototyping and Fitting (15%):

Develop and review prototypes to ensure quality, fit, and comfort.
Conduct fit sessions and make adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues.

Material and Supply Chain Management (10%):

Source and develop materials that prioritize comfort, durability, and sustainability.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
Research innovative materials and technologies.

Brand Alignment and Collaboration (5%):

Ensure designs align with brand aesthetic and values.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand customer needs.
Participate in design meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in apparel design, with a focus on comfort wear.
Portfolio showcasing expertise in hoodie design and development.
Strong understanding of textile science, fabric selection, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with 3D design software and digital printing technologies.
Knowledge of sustainable materials and production methods.
Familiarity with industry standards for comfort and Essentials Sweatpants quality.
Certification in textile science or a related field.
